'Spect 'e's gone 'ome f' the nigh'. Ain' go' a clue where 'e lives, *Danniar tells Robin nonchalantly.* 'E ain' well liked though, Rob'n, 'cos 'e's no' the nices' o' weas'ls. Do you know any "good" weasels, Danniar? *Ashnel asks and instantly regrets it at the look she gives him.* D'y' know any ra's tha' ain' "vermin", *The barmaid demands retorically, (sp?), glowering at the dark-furred squirrel for the first time that evening.* There might be others who know where Tuscaro lives, *Terragon speaks loudly over the other two, then, as they turn to look at her, her voice turns quiet once again.* Don't fight here, people are staring. Anyway, *The leaderess continues, contradicting what she said moments before.* We don't need to find him. We can keep an eye, I'm sure; but for now, can't we just have another round of drinks? Please? Just one normal night?

*Robin nods but mutters grumpily to herself.* What's so good about "normal" anyway? *Then in a louder voice she continues.* Yeah why not? If we are going to have another round I'll have another cider please Danniar. *The squirrelmaid knows that just waiting around for this guy isn't really going to get them anywhere and she desperately needs to think about something not related to Elm, and this could be the perfect thing. She has to find out where he lives and go and see for herself.*

*Terragon takes a seat at the bar and frowns up at Robin.* You're not thinking of confronting Tuscaro with no evidence, are you? He's not a nice creature, Terri'! *Ashnel protests.* But you can't go and bl**dy witchhunt somebeast for not being very nice! *The other cries to the ceiling in exasperation.* It's more than that though. You've never been to the Lenn Inn, have you? I didn't know there was a place called the Lenn Inn 'til a moment ago! I was looking for Wood and supposed that he'd be in the Inn. When I got there, I found there were an awful lot of people loitering outside... with intent, Terri. Either to rob passersby or waiting to be employed. Oh, *Terragon's eyes widen slightly as she catches his meaning and he her eye. The darker-furred squirrel nods.* And inside, more knives, drunks and poppy seeds than you've seen in your life. Poppy seeds... ah, *The leaderess bites her lip, aware of how naive she seems, despite having thought herself a well-traveled squirrel.* And Tuscaro kills customers who owe a credit to him and don't pay up, *Ashnel continues.* That's why Wood stop frequenting the place. D'you want all this happening in Terralux, Terragon? *She feels like perhaps the other is patronising her and looks away, her gaze falling upon Robin, who Danniar - who has been absent, in the cellar, until now - clears her throat at.* Y'drink, Rob'n.

Oh wha-thanks Danniar. *Robin takes her drink with a grin and begins to sip it quietly to herself. Her mind wanders over what she has just heard. Hmmm Lenn Inn doesn't sound good. Not good at all. Not surprised that Wood used to hang out there, question is though as what. A thief or patron or money lender. What did he actually do?! The squirrelmaid frowns severly as she tries to think.* Ashnel...what did Wood actually do there? *She knows that he'll never give her a straight answer but she just has to ask.*

Wood... *Ashnel nearly pauses, but continues, bravely, or so Terragon thinks.* Wood found that Tuscaro was more than happy to supply opium as well as drinks to him and ended up owing Tuscaro a lot of money within the space of about two months. Wood also... he... *The squirrel shakes his head and stares into the dark ale, before draining the remainder in one. He keeps tight hold of the cold glass though. Danniar stays close to Robin, waiting for another to break the silence that settles, again, like frost.*

*The silence is almost so heavy that Robin is nearly afraid to break it but then she's always been a bit of a mood killer. Opium though, well she couldn't say she hadn't been expecting that. It would be right up Wood's path. Took you away from reality and if it killed you all the better. Finally she chooses to speak.* He what? Ash we need to know what he did. *She wraps her cider in her paws and waits watching the other carefully.*

*Ashnel looks up from the empty glass in his paw, a broad grin flickering across his face for an instant.* Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. Seems we need to pay a visit to Mr Olivha Tuscaro. Danniar, *He looks down on the rat with such a convincing smile that for the first time, she does not argue.* Would you be so kind as to close the Tavern early and accompany me?

*Oh no! Robin thinks it before she can stop herself. He is going to do something. She can tell that smile means something is going to happen and it isn't going to be good, but she wasn't about to be left behind on this.* Yeah I think that is something we could do. *She says very half heartedly hoping it doesn't get out of hand.*

*Ashnel leaves the empty glass on the bar, picks up his cloak and passes Terragon her's as Danniar begins to clear up and shoo moaning patrons out of the Tavern.* Gen'l'beas's, ah'm closin' early t'day 'cos o' a religous fes'iv'l. Go 'ome, all o' y'. Mr Beechmas', y'c'n take tha' glass o' wine wi' y', bu' I gotta close now. G'nigh', Gloron', sir. I'm closin' the door now. Goodbye. *Danniar closes the door and returns to the bar, taking a frayed cloak from a hook and leaving her equally frayed apron in it's place. The rat tries to not stare to long at Ashnel and Terragon's cloaks, but both have already noticed, and the dark squirrel quickly drapes his own cloak - far too big for Danniar - over her shoulders.* Shall we? *He nods to the door.* N', Mr Beechmas' migh' still be 'angin' 'round ou' there. Bes' take the back door.

*Robin watches all of the customers leaving with a slightly amused smile on her face. She is half looking forward to meeting this ferret. Might be exciting, but she can't really get herself interested in this. Her head just seems to be swirling around in circles tonight. The squirrelmaid collects her own cloak and quicly drains the rest of her cider reminding herself how much of a shame it is to let good drink go to waste. Nodding at Dannier's comment Robin makes her way to the back door where she waits for the other. She strains to keep her mind entirely focused on the door and not on Elm or Mela. She can't let herself think about them it's just too painful.*

OOC: Weasel, Robin. Weasel. And, if it's okay with you, I'm advancing the quest. BIC: *With the lantern light from the houses and treehouses and houseboats of Terralux fading behind them, it occurs to Terragon why the name, " The Earth's Light," fits the place better than ever. Some part of her wishes that this was the last time she'd ever see it. It's so still and beautiful tonight. If I never returned to here and this was my last memory of it... I could do that, she tries to convince herself it's true. There's a chance - just a small chance - that somewhere else out there... there's... there's... there's something . And then the night brings more thoughts to the red squirrel. This is madness. We don't know where we're going, we don't know Tuscaro lives. Everything's madness nowadays. Times have changed. Images of Aradalla going up in flames behind her rekindle in Terragon's mind. But you can never leave that easily; remember? You always have to look back and remember... She begins to forget what she was thinking in the first place as Ashnel calls from up ahead:* I can remember where the Lenn Inn is still, and I suspect Tuscaro's still profitting nicely from it, so has no reason to move. We'll find him there, I reckon. *Neither Danniar, trotting at his side as fast as the huge cloak on her shoulders will allow, or Terragon, watching her second cousin's dark back bob further and further ahead, asks why Ashnel thinks this. The rat doesn't want to stir up trouble during this odd peace between her and her sworn enemy and the squirrel-leaderess can still recall another time when she asked him why he thought something... "You think you can make me just leave? Just like that? Who in Mossflower and the Dark Forest d'you think you are?!" "Well that's the thing. I don't know, do I? Nobeast's ever told me that. I s'ppose I thought you, Terragon, would know me." "Well perhaps I thought I did. I've been wrong before, haven't I?" "Go," *Ashnel spat the words and didn't meet Terragon's eyes.* "Just go then. Don't let me make you regret your mistakes." *And he wouldn't look at her, so she did. She went. And she looked back then, and she looks ahead at him now... and she stumbles in the darkness and stops, waiting for Robin, as Ashnel continues on, not knowing that Terragon is no longer following...*
OOC: I have no idea. Don't ask. I've entitled it, "Terragon Thinks Too Much While Walking."

*Robin comes up beside her sister and watches her face carefully. She knows that face all too well. It has been her enemy for a very long time it means that Terragon is thinking too much and when Terragon begins to think too much it rubs off on everyone around her. Or so Robin thinks. She smirks slightly and remembers all the other times they've had like this. Blundering about in the dark not really sure where they're going or what they are going to do when they get there. Story of their lives really isn't. Eventually the squirrelmaid breaks out of these fancies.* Terragon come on we better catch up. *She aims to give the other a light and playful shove forwards and set her walking again.*

Yeah, *Terragon mumbles, not quite hearing what the other said. Another few moments pass steadily by before she speaks again.* Hey, Robin. Y'know when we'd left Redwall, me and Seastar... and you? *Terragon somehow forgets to mention that she and Seastar left without Robin.* Well, after we met up with Ash' and you and Seastar went off to DAE... I mean, you didn't mean to stay in the DAE Valley f'rever, did you? *Why are you asking, Terri?
*"Who in Hell's teeth are you?" the stoat had asked. "Terragon Canopy of Mossflower" "What're you doing here?" "Signing up for the guard," she'd replied through gritted teeth. "No. There is no way I'm going to let you signup."*

I don't know. I thought that I might if it was well as good as we all thought it would be, but I guess you can't have perfection at least not in a place. Not then anyway. After a while it didn't feel right. *Robin hangs her head slightly at this rather dark comment which is quite unlike her.* Terragon, come on. *She begins to move off but turns back to wait for her sister.*

Sorry... *Terragon murmurs, looking away as she falls into step with Robin.* I should never have brought any of you here to Terralux. It was stupid! Everything, everything... this is stupid! *She barely realises how loud her voice is, how a vein beneath her eye is twitching, how her paw shakes.* I don't know! *The squirrel yelps for no reason.* I don't know, Robin!
