*Robin just stands there, she doesn't try to stop him she knows that he'll figure it out in the end. He always seems to be able to cope with that kind of thing. The red squirrel turns back to the balcony, takes a long shuddery breath and walks back into the treehouse. She can't bring herself however to walk into the centre of things so she hovers by the door hoping that in time she'll come to feel more than just numb about this whole experience. Robin looks over to Terragon at the window and sighs. She walks hopefully unnoticed up to her sister.* Hey Terragon. *She knows that what she just said was really stupid considering the circumstances but she can't think of what else to say.*

*Terragon doesn't need to reply, and wouldn't know what to say if she did. So the leaderess stands there, not looking at Robin, but knowing her sister's standing there. Terragon sighs as the noises of the party begin to die away. Finally, she speaks. The squirrel doesn't ask how Robin is, because it's pointless; instead, she murmurs:* It's a nice ev'ning/

Yeah, the stars seem to be shinging really bright tonight. Abnormally bright. *Robin knows that they both know what has happened but neither will say anything about it. She sighs slightly and just stands there.* Do you think one of us, probably you, should go get Ash back before he hurts himself? *She grins very wretchedly and looks towards the window and the stars.*

*Terragon shruggs.* P'rhaps. *She means "no", because Ashnel can look after himself and maybe Robin, right now, can't. Terragon sighs, because she can't find the words to ask:* What did you really think would happen? *She finds the wrong words.*

*Robin doesn't reply to her sister at first she just stares into the space ahead of her. She sighs.* What you mean with me and Elm? I honestly don't know, I had no idea where we were going. All I know is that I seemed to like it at the time that is. *She hangs her head as if she is too tired to keep it up anymore.*

*Terragon glances around at the debris from the party.* I'll clear up, *She suggests.* You get some sleep. *Even so, Terragon does not yet move from the window.* *Ashnel is still in Citadel Clearing, and, one at a time, is silently cursing at each of the statues. Jupiter... hah! Starsett's twice the badger you are! Starsett talks to creatures. He doesn't sit, pretending to exist, in statues and clouds and stars and - The squirrel turns to vent his rage on the next of the Guiding Stars' statues. Saturn, the deathly badger lady with rings on her paws. Death y'self! Mars, you can't even help your own kind... nor you, Venus... and Mercury? If you're the messenger of the Guiding Stars, would you be as kind as to give them this message...? Ashnel continues in this way for a while, unaware that the night is drawing on.*
OOC: EDIT: Wow, Ashnel's lost it this time.

*Robin looks over to her sister a little teary eyed. She hasn't realised until now how exhausted she actually is. She smiles weakly and moves like one who is dead to her bedroom trying to ignore any other creatures that she half imagines are there. The squirrelmaid goes into her room and closes the door. She only has the energy to collapse on the bed. She barely has time to close her eyes before she is fast asleep.*

*Terragon hears Robin asleep in the next room, gives up on clearing up the house, places the empty glasses in her paw in a bowl of water and makes her way down to Citadel Clearing. The paths are dark, with no lanterns to light them, and were it not for the treehouse lights behind her, and the faint glow of the shrinking sun (OOC: kudos, Robin), Terragon would be in complete darkness, and the squirrel would not see what she sees upon entering the clearing: Ashnel is spitting and cursing at the nine Guiding Star statues, accusing them (now out loud) of abandoning him and Terralux.* Why don't you strike me dead, Pluto?! *The Terraluxian Captain demands.* Is it too much for you to get up out of the sky and help anybeast? Neptune? I hope you drown, curse you! *But when Terragon speaks, and Ashnel realises for the first time that the red squirrel is there, he turns, and sits, almost as though he has been crumpled by the Guiding Stars.* Ashnel?

*Robin hears her sister leave the treehouse and opens her eyes. She doesn't know why she only pretended to fall asleep maybe it was that she knew that if she did then Terragon would go find Ashnel. She just needs to think right now. The squirrelmaid gets up slowly and opens her window before climbing out. She claws her way up the wall and onto the roof. Robin lies down there and stares at the stars. Funny how the one guy who ever paid any attention to me in that way is the one guy who now has caused me to feel the this bad. She sighs and laughs very bitterly.*

*Ashnel stares at Terragon, and nods slowly, without knowing for certain why.* Mela' didn't abandon you, *Terragon tells him.* But she did choose a different path, and you can't try and stop anybeast from moving on. Didn't she know it would hurt Robin, though? *Ashnel asks, though he nearly says "me" and does not expect an answer.* It's not always that easy, *The red squirrel answers, and sits, her knees curled beneath her. After a moment, Ashnel kneels heavily down too a little way from the other. He looks down, biting his lip, because he knows Terragon is talking about choosing Geordie over Oakbark. And then Ashnel notices, with a jolt - though later he wonders why it surprised him - that Terragon's left paw is ostentatiously bare.* Your - *He begins and the other follows his gaze and nods.* I got rid of it a while ago, at Summer Solstice. Me and Geordie sat by the river, and when he wasn't looking, I - I threw the ring in the water. *Ashnel shakes his head.* You read too much.

*Robin stares at the stars that are glinting above her. She sighs and suddenly smiles, sourly, but at least it is a smile. The squirrelmaid begins to hum quietly to herself and then to whisper the words under her breath. Finally she begins to sing out loud. Many creatures think she should never do this but her voice was in actual fact slightly above average. Only very slightly. She sings out and she doesn't even know why she does it, it just feels right.* Over the moon and far away Where the sun goes down Listen younglings to what your mother's say About where the sun goes down
In this life you never know What will happen on the road So hear me now when I say Find where the sun goes down
Let your feet lead you on Down the path your life begun Hold your head up in your pain And run to where the sun goes down
If you ever find that place You'll see me there staring into space Because to find out where the sun goes down You have to first feel the pain Of the sun burning you again
Over the moon and far away Where the sun goes down Listen younglings to what your mother's say About where the sun goes down *She continues humming this after she has finished for a while under her breath.*

OOC: I can imagine a good tune for that. I think, in the school play, for the Wild Wooders, we're using "Scummy Man (When the Sun Goes Down)" by the Artic Monkeys.
BIC: *Ashnel pauses to listen and after a moment Terragon can also hear a voice on the wind.* Robin. *She whispers under her breath and stands, not expecting Ashnel to do the same and follow her as she makes her way back to Starsett Hollow. Together, the squirrels climb a rope ladder to the very same secret walkway that Mela' and Elm left upon not half an hour ago. Both slip onto the roof and settle wordlessly on either side of Robin, about half a metre from her.*

*She stares at them and then realises how loudly she must have been singing, and suddnely feels very embarressed. She flushes bright red, redder and hangs her head. She sits up so she is leaning on her elbows. Robin is thankful that they are here she just wishes she didn't feel so awkaward right now. She grins.* So I guess you heard that didn't you? *The squirrelmaid is now sitting up with her head resting on her drawn up knees.*

*Ashnel glances up at the stars.* D'you think they care about what I said, Terri? *The squirrel shakes her head, and replies with what the other wants to hear, not with what she wants to say.* They're too old to be bothered by it. They understand, I'm sure, Ash'.

*Robin glances sidelong at the two of them and shakes her head.* What do you mean do they care? What are you two talking about? *She looks first at Ashnel and then at Terragon hopng htey don't get back to the subject of her singing.*
