Clothing and Accessories
Eragona wears a short dark blue tunic with a dark brown belt around her middle, and a rapier on her back. Her belt holds a sling and stone pouch. The sword strap, and the sling pouch are embroidered with rose vines.
Physical Features
Eragona has red-brown fur that is well brushed, if not groomed. Her ears have short tuffs at the tips, and Eragona's eyes are a muddy brown, and are usually slowly moving about, taking in every detail around her. Eragona has a scar on her right footpaw, and a few on her handpaws, lower arms and shins. And there is a final scar on her left side, underneath her ribcage.

Age: 23
Personality:
Quirks
Eragona Treerose is an accomplished swordsmaid and acrobatic, and she carries traits from both professions. She is always loosening her muscles, and watching her surroundings. She also always needs to be doing something physical, whether it be messing with a ball in her paws, tugging on her ear, or tapping her footpaws. She also is a minor scholar, loving to read when she is relaxing in peace, and constantly curious about anything or everything.
Faults
In short: she is rash, impatient, and a bit emotional.
*She is rash, because sometimes she doesn't think all the way through a plan or idea, and ends up getting in trouble.
*She is impatient because if she gets the urge to do something, and cannot, she will become increasingly irritable, or she will go ahead and do something without stopping to wait.
*She is emotional because she will take things personally, and cannot bear to make a mistake when she could've stopped it. (Once, she had to retreat, and leave her sister in the hands of the enemy. She blamed everything on herself.)
Skills
Eragona is an accomplished swordsmaid and acrobat. She is naturally flexible, balanced and swift, and she took it to the next level, training herself high in the treetops. When she first learned how to fight with a sword, she was okay because of her flexibility and balance. Eragona has a quick mind, and can find and use her enemy's weakness quickly, choosing to be quick and agile instead of strong and sturdy in her fighting, increasing the skills she already had. Eragona is also equipped with a sling and bow and arrows, but these she is not as skilled, more likely to hit her foe's stomach, leg or arm than her foe's heart or head.
History: When Eragona was three seasons old, she and her twin sister Rowanie were found at the gates of Redwall Abbey, abandoned. The abbey dwellers took them in, naming them after the necklaces found inscribed with their first names around their necks, and a rose on their blankets. Rowanie and Eragona joined the dibbun organization DAB, and quickly became terrors with their new otter friend Banklilly.
DAB was all good and fun, but when their dibbun days were over, and it was time for the girls to find a place in the Abbey, Eragona found herself left alone as her sister drifted toward the Kitchens, and her friend toward the Infirmary. Eragona only found herself drifting to the Ramparts, and staring out over the walls.
When Eragona left Redwall Abbey, she only had her sling and fists to defend herself, and a haversack filled with food, a blanket, two gifts from the Recorder- a blank notebook of parchment, and a quill with a ink bottle- a First aid kit from Banklilly, and notes on ingredients in the forest that could be used to make simple recipes from Rowanie. Eragona still has all of these things- minus the food.
She first headed west, and a little south, to Salamandastron, and there is where she received a sword, and learned how to fight with one, because the Badger Lord and his hares saw her as inadequately defended from the vermin of Mossflower for a wanderer. After Eragona left Salamandastron, she traveled from place to place, drinking in new cultures and surroundings, and helping settlements against vermin threats.
It was at one settlement, far to the north, where she found someone she didn't know existed- an older sister, Amethyst, who was living at Lancepaw's Fort. Amethyst was able to answer many of Eragona's questions about their family and parents, and even traveled back to Redwall Abbey with Eragona to meet Rowanie. Eragona finally knew about her parents, two wanderer squirrels like her, who just felt they couldn't take care of their children properly, especially not ones so young, and so, left them to those who could.
Eragona stayed with Rownaie and Amethyst, who was feeling the need to settle, for a year before leaving again, and traveling south. She ended up at Terralux.

*It was a clear day in the newly named Summer of the Apple Blossoms, and many were finding ways to do their chores outside. Many dibbuns were playing hide and seek in the orchards, a small mousebabe doing the counting while his companions hid. So, the Abbey beasts went about, chuckling at the dibbun's made up numbers.
On the steps leading to the East Rampart, leaning against the top step, was the elderly hedgehog Abbey Rcorder, Junbu Softspikes, a quill and ink set beside his writing paw, parchment half written on in his lap, and a flask of cordial on his other side. He smiled as the mousebabe's continued counting reached his ears, and he turned his head to look at the young squirrelmaid standing above him, leaning on her elbow and staring at the plains.* I remember when you were one of those dibbuns down there, Eragona.
*Eragona smiled, her ears twitching toward the shouts of the dibbuns as the mousebabe stopped counting, and found some of his friends.* That wasn't so long ago, Junbu. And you called me a rascal.
*Junbu raised his eyebrows, the quills on his fore head rising also. He lifted his flask.* I called you a rascal? I don't remember ever doing something like that. * Eragona turned around, grinning.* You called me all sorts of names, especially when Rowanie, Banklilly and I stole your unused parchment, and used it to make signs for DAB.
*Junbu laughed, and nodded.* Ah, yes, I remember now. You, your sister and Banklilly were a group of terror all by yourselves in that silly organization. You used to do all kinds of things in the name of Dibbuns Against Bedtime. But, now you've grown up, and the Abbey has new terrors to deal with.
*Eragona leaned back, turning her head to look out at the plains again.* Yeah... *The squirrelmaid fell silent, her eyes scanning the horizon, as if she was looking for something. Junbu eyed her, then set his flask down carefully on the sandstone steps.* You know, my sister Friaress Junifer was talking to me the other day about your sister. *Junbu paused, glancing at the maidden. Eragona didn't say anything, still looking over the ramparts.* She said that Rowanie is a genius, and passionate about the kitchens. Sister Fleur said the same thing about Banklilly, minus the kitchens part.
That's great. *Eragona said. Junbu picked up his quill, and thought about what he was going to say next. Junbu was the Abbey Recorder, and he was also in charge of the Abbey School. And in her class, Eragona was not necessarily the brightest, but she was the most eager, and she often visited Junbu and ask about the wanderers and warriors, or the different settlements known to Redwall. Junbu had favored Eragona, and he hoped that maybe she would be his assistant, and future replacement now.
But Junbu knew it wasn't going to happen every time he saw Eragona looking over the walls of her childhood home. He knew that someday, Eragona was going to leave Redwall behind, and wander Mossflower Country. Maybe she didn't realize it yet, but Junbu saw the same thing in some of the other young beasts around the Abbey. Even Banklilly occasionally showed it.*
You know, just a few days walk west, and a little to the south, is Salamandastron. *Eragona said, eyes scanning the horizon again. Junbu nodded, grunting noncommittally, but Eragna didn't pay any attention.* And Salamandastron is on the shore of the ocean. I asked Skipper what the ocean was like once. He said that it was like the sky, except on our level, and it didn't have the stars or sun or moon or clouds. A great wide expanse of water.
*Junbu felt his heart sink with sorrow as he heard the longing in Eragona's voice. But, he smiled anyway.* Oh, really?
Yeah. And, Skipper said the water was bad to drink, diffused with salt. *Eragona said, eyes still scanning the horizon, straining to catch even a glimpse of deep blue. She grinned, filled with that familiar, irritating impatience again, her footpaws tapping to feel the gritty sand Skipper had told her about. Junbu watched her, then his eyes were caught by a beast crossing the lawns toward the Belltower. He groaned long and dramatically as he lifted himself up. Eragona's eyes snapped away from the plains, and to the old hedgehog as he stretched. He smiled at her.* Help a old Brother down to lunch, Eragona. I'm too old to be climbing up and down these steps.
*Eragona grinned, her eyes narrowing from the corners of her mouth. She hopped over there, and took Junbu's arm, picking up the flask and parchment.* You liar, I saw you playing hopscotch with the dibbuns an hour ago, and then I watched you practically skip up these stairs.
I did not, I was running from that villain Goven, he was trying to take my ink. *The Recorder protested as he walked down the steps with the squirrelmaid, both of them laughing all the way.*
