Just watch where your footpaws're going. *He advised, putting on a bit more speed to make it up the hill. It wasn't that difficult for a beast of his age, but the splinter continued to annoy him.* Almost there.

Phew! *Cuoha pants as they reach the top of the hill. She gently lays the stretcher down to wipe her brow.* Thank goodness we made it!

*Silas sighs to signal his agreement, and puts his end of the stretcher down in synchrony with Cuoha's side. Gazing about, he notices that they now have a vantage point as well as safer ground to treat the mouse upon. He could see all the way across the wreckage and the water to the main settlement.* I wonder how many beasts actually came out unscathed from all this... I hope we're not the only ones... *He thinks.* But hopes can only get you so far.

D'you think he'll live? *Cuoha inquires, gesturing to the mouse with her paw.* Oh, hang on..... *Cuoha notices the mouse stir a little, and bends over him comfortingly, soothing him.* It's alright, you're safe now. *She strokes his brow.*

OOC: Bring this to a close, please. I suggest, if you have no better ideas, that the end has something to do with the mouse living/dying.

OOC: I'm not very creative, so... yeah.
BIC: *Silas stands by, glancing down at the mouse.* I dunno, judging from his injuries all he needs is time to heal. As ye said before he might've gotten hit on the head... *His voice trails off, leaving yet another sentence unfinished as his blue eyes continue to linger upon the mouse.* Everywhere I go... Stuff happens like this... Maybe Keia was right...

Um, Silas. *Cuoha says, with a hint of panic in her voice.* He's, ah, stopped breathing! I think he's dying! Hang on.... *Cuoha bends over and places her paw gently on the mouse's chest, checking for any signs of heartbeat. She finds none, and bends closer in order to listen, desperately not wanting to believe that he is dead. However, the second test yields just as little result as the first.* But... but he can't die! *Cuoha sits down and sobs, looking at Silas with resignation in her eyes.* He's d-d-dead, isn't he? *Cuoha lets her head hang, and listens to the silence carried on the breath of the wind. A silence of death, of destruction, and of doom.*

*Silas dashes the few feet in between him and the mouse, seeing similar signs of death.* Recuv! *He attempts to do a form of CPR, but to no avail. The squirrel stops, a tear of frustration and anger dripping from his eye before he could wipe it away.* Keia is right...

*Cuoha lies back onto the muddy grass. The squirrelmaid gazes at the sky, wondering how it can possibly look so clear and innocent with all the lives being wasted beneath it. She finally makes a decision about her course of action.* C'mon, Silas. This beast's dead. Nothing we c'n do for him now. But I daresay there are others who need our help. *She pats Silas on the back and strides resolutely down the hill, determined to do something right in a world hat seems to have dissolved into ruin. She motions to her new friend to follow, hoping that together they can help to prevent wastage of more innocent lives.*
OOC: Seems like a fairly good ending. To me, at least.....

OOC: It's tons better than what I can think of ATM... Lost some creativity...
BIC: *Silas, with the aid of Cuoha, calms himself down. Too many... Just... too many... He thinks to himself, finally wiping away the tear rolling from his eye. He then exhales in a long sigh, and after a moment of looking down upon the mouse follows Cuoha down the hill. Whether he marches toward other survivors or legions od deadbeasts, Silas didn't know. But he did know one thing; Either way, it wasn't going to be an easy task.*
