OOC: Sure, an no worries. ;] BIC:
*Stoakly steps into the old Forge, wiping some dust from his eye. Over the time of the walk here, he has found Kael as good company.* I remember when I used to 'smith at this place. Hm, it seems like so long ago since the last time I pounded steel. *The ferret smiles and thinks of the old days, the good times. He turns to the otter and shrugs,* So, what about this uniform?

*Kael nods thoughtfully at Stoakly's mention of his former occupation, but quietly awakens from thought and tells the ferret,* You'll find it hanging up in the next room. You're to let Terragon know if it needs adjusting, I don't know whether you ever knew her mother was a seamstress? *He nods towards the door.* I'll be out here trying to find where the curs'ed apprentice has left your shield.

Shield? Captains are given new shields? Lovely. *He steps into the other, room, finds his new uniform, and gasps. For the small village of Terralux, it is certainly a grand attire. The ferret changes into it, noting how nicely it fits. Stoakly steps back in the other room, his old uniform in his paws.* Kael, it fits perfectly! *He calls out, hoping the otter can hear him. "Perfectly" may be a stretch, because as though it fits nicely, it's a little baggy over his stomach; after these months with little to eat, he has become quite gaunt, but hopes to restore his sinew to its former self.*

Nice, *Kael agrees politely though, truth be told, something about the otter suggests that he himself would be better suited to his clan tartan than to the simple, loom-woven tunic and trousers he wears. He picks up the shield, finally found after much searching, and holds it out to Stoakly, holding the top of it in one paw so the Terraluxian Captain can take the birch-bark strap of it and hand his old uniform to Kael's free paw.* Shall we go and find Terragon, then? I'm looking forward to breakfast. Though the food at St.Ninian's isn't bad, living as a vegetarian and a minimalist after traveling down river eating fish everyday is something of a shock.

*Stoakly smiles and takes the shield.* Aye, let's go back to Terragon. I'm dying for some breakfast as it is. *As he leaves, he nods to the otter.* The shield is quite nice; it's much better than the ones I used to forge. I wonder who has been smithing these. You spoke of an apprentice?

The apprentice? *Kael laughs.* He's a brilliant smith, but you haven't met a more scatter-brained cub in your whole life. Good otter though. I'd trust him with my life, promise. *The thoughtful expression returns.* I just hope my son grows up to be like him, ye ken? *Brightening, Kael turns to go.* Back to Terragon's, then. *The leaderess is waiting for them when they returned, breakfast already prepared. Fish that Kael caught in the lake the night before for the otter and acorn-flour pancakes with honey and damson jam for the squirrels. A jug of water is set on the table between the three plates, beakers put in a careful row beside. Terragon fires a question at Stoakly almost before the door is closed.* Does the uniform fit?
OOC: The layout of Starsett Hollow... the desk is kinda at the far end, in front of a window. There's a small meal table between it and the door. Bit difficult to explain and, besides, when there's only two creatures there, Terri and Kael eat at the desk. Today's special as Stoakly's returned. ;D

*Stoakly enters the Hollow and turns to Terragon, nodding rigorously.* Yes, yes, it fits quite nicely. I'm wearing it right now. *The ferret moves over to the meal table and takes a seat at the far end. His eyes wander out of the window, dying to return to his business in Terralux once all of the celebrations are over. He sighs and confesses it to the two creatures.* I just want to live life as usual again; I have no desire for some massive celebration for my return, nor do I expect it. We almost had a siege on our paws before I left, and I'm sure there's plenty of work to do. What sort of new defenses are going to be constructed now, in light of this? *The ferret hopes that this kind of conversation will throw anyone off the idea of celebration and more on the topic of safety and battle.*

So I see, *Terragon murmurs.* All those days at Redwall, I never imagined I'd end up leader of a settlement or that you'd be a Captain. Well, that's not quite true; I was bossy as a bankvole and you were definately a leader. *She pours a little water into her beaker and raises it in a mock toast. Kael takes his place at the table, beginning to eat straight away. He hadn't lied when he said he'd been looking forward to breakfast. Terragon takes a moment to reply to Stoakly.* The walls are being made more permanent and Regen has plans to eventually build them out of stone. Costly, admittedly, but there shouldn't be too much trouble with transport as the quarrey is so close by. In terms of other plans, the Captains have a meeting tonight at Eale's Nest, although - *She begins to worry.* - you look quite tired. Perhaps I could postphone it to another evening... next week, maybe?

*Stoakly chuckles to himself, remembering the good old days at Redwall Abbey.* You certainly were bossy, and I wasn't as much of a leader as much as I was just ... well, let's just say that I received an extra dose of mischief. *The ferret begins to eat, his manners aside; it has been a long time sine his last good, cooked meal. He is not prepared to let this get away from him.* Well, that depends. Where are we getting the stone? Are we going to get it ourselves or hire others to do it? The creatures who founded Redwall found a large deposit of sandstone, which is what formed their whole building. And no, I'd like to attend it tonight. I can't afford to have my return throwing off all of the schedules.

*Terragon speaks inbetween mouthfuls.* The quarrey's maybe quarter of an hour's walk away and it's mainly creatures from inside of Terralux helping with the building and transporting, although I believe we're employing some others from outside the settlement as well. About three score from outside of Terralux if I'm not mistaken.*She shoots a questioning glance at Kael who nods in confirmation.* OOC: Possibly Chiv, the thief from the other quest, is an outsider to Terralux? I don't know if you've got something else planned. Also, once this thread is finished, I'll set up a meeting thread in Eale's Nest.

OOC: Sorry to double-post.
BIC: *There comes a loud, polite knock at the door and both Terragon and Kael pause. Finally, the squirrel stands. Pushing back her chair she makes her way to the door, calling out,* Come on in. It's not locked. *In response, the door opens. The creature outside, another squirrel, fur darker than Terragon's, hesitates and Terragon makes no further attempt to invite him in as she stands wordlessly next to the table, her eyes mirroring the newcomer's gaze.* Who is it? *Kael asks quietly, with utter sincerity. And Terragon barely is able to believe her own voice as she replies with a single word;* Ashnel.
