OOC: So...I'm back. ;D
BIC:
*His paws are heavy and his eyes are slowly drooping. As nightfall creeps in as the sun sets in the beautiful horizon, giving the a glimpse of pink mixed with a cheery orange color, the ferret finally returns to his beloved village. After killing his best friend, and living with the thought of Burde's Horde invading Terralux, Stoakly has taken a vacation, going back to Redwall and living the simple life. But when he was there, he knew he could not simply shirk his duties. So he has returned. The sun finally drops from the horizon and a final shimmer of light flashes across the gray sky.
He looks up into the air, breathing heavily after his trek. After recieving a report from a very valuable scout at Rugbark Village, Stoakly has been relieved to discover that Burde altered course, and the spy in Terralux has vanished. 'Captain Centurio,' he mutters. He likes the title, and now the he is back, he can finally be called it. Woodland Captain, Terraluxian Guard, and friend to the dear Leaderess Terragon Scrufftail, Stoakly Centurio has come back to Terralux. *
Better late than never. *He re-assures himself, dodging the spruce tree that is in the way and knocking on the oak gate. His brown tunic smudged with mud, the ferret has the look of a dibbun. And with his vacation at Redwall, he has fallen in love, and once again taken the demeanor of a dibbun. But that tom-foolery has ended. He is a captain again, and the ferretmaid of his dreams is coming to Terralux next month, but not now.
Never forget me, Stoak'. He remembers the last thing Dream whispered in his ear as he left Redwall, and with a kiss to the cheek, he left. Stoakly would never forget her, and when she comes, he would ask her to marry him. Finally realizing that no beast has come to the gate, he shouts out.* Gatekeeper, to attention! It is I, Captain Centurio, now open this blasted gate!
*Terragon and Ashnel would be a site for sore eyes, but Stoakly could live without seeing Regen or Lonas for a day or two. They remind of the day he thrusted his cutlass into Adoni's torso, murdering in rage. But almost a month has passed, and no matter what anyone says, from the mouth of Stoakly himself, "It is good to be back!"*
