The Apothecary is busy today..and not just with the sudden boom in business the Eale brothers have gotten since Terralux became everybeast's favorite walled city. It would appear that Lonas, in an attempt to keep people from behind housed in his store, has volunteered the place as a storeroom.
Everything has been moved into the back room by now, and the sign now says, "Everyting is back room prycs." This is in Regen's handwriting and misspelling.
Regen himself is standing at the counter, playing with a marble-and-porphyry chess set that has been overlooked in the muddle of things being moved around. He seems rather unconcerned by the fact that Lonas is currently negotiating a delivery of barley and the storage of five or six barrels of the same that were already in the town at the same time, and has gotten himself into a stalemate.
"'Ey, Misters Eale! How much is this worth?"
One of the delivery beasts, a hulking otter, has noted the chess set. Regen frowns at him warningly.
"More'n ye c'n afford, sir."
"Aye, true." The otter returns to doing whatever it is he had been involved in before. Regen narrows his eyes, brown like his brother's, and returns to messing with the porphyry knights, trying to get himself out of his self-imposed stalemate.
After a moment, he looks up at the door, frowning a bit as if wondering what to do when a customer comes through. The whole place is crammed with barrels of wheat, nuts, water, ale, and so forth already.
After a minute, the golden squirrel retrieves his sign, takes a stick of charcoal that was sitting by the chessboard, and writes carefully, "Everyting is back roomprycs." He fights his way to the door and sets the sign out on the porch, looks around, and nods once or twice.
A second later, the squirrel looks around to check for customers, seeming slightly annoyed that they haven't already begun showing up..
