*Regen strolls down to the lake cheerily, a fishing pole in one paw and a glass jar of crickets in the other. He glances up as it starts to drizzle slightly, then grins and comments to himself, *I hear fish bite more when it rains. *The drizzle keeps falling, despite the squirrel's opinion of it. He shrugs slightly and keeps walking, sniffing the air and humming to himself.* Ah, this is the life. Fishing in the rain, wet pine needle smell, and the wasps aren't even out yet.

*Stoakly shifts position, moving slightly to the left. He leans against a tree, his head resting on the hard wood behind him. Ow. The ferret has just fought a little dibbun and it shortly turned to the worse. Stoakly gets up to his paws, staggering after the little mousemaid. She shuffles off quickly, but the ferret has enough speed to cut her off. Picking the mousebabe up, Stoakly holds her upon his shoulder. The mother, a mouse named Jabreeze, runs out and takes her child. She wrinkles her forehead in humiliation and shuffles away. Stoakly smiles and spots Regen near the lake. Rain begins to pour down and it quickly picks up. He rolls his eyes and continues forward. The squirrel is fishing, a common thing but not an interest to the ferret. He plops down near Regen and smiles. The squirrel acts as if he is enjoying the rain, but Stoakly is miserable. Terrible rain... He says to himself in his head as Regen fishes. Turning, he gazes the squirrel in the eyes.* So, Regen, what d'ye think of my ole cousin Adoni? Eh? *He inquires, looking down to the grass. Stoakly picks up a leaf and fiddles with it. Turning back, he looks at Regen. I hope this ends well.*

Post by Nefertari ⇔ Dante on Mar 22, 2007 8:23:00 GMT
Sister~! *The voice called forth, filled with lost uncertainty; with a sigh of relief, Dante feels himself calm down as Nefertari squeezes his paw - clutched in hers - reassuringly. Closing his brown eyes, identical to hers, he allowed himself to be gently lead, pressing himself protectively against her, as though to quietly shield her from the drizzle that dampened not him - but them. Whether it was an instinct of family, of twinship, or perhaps their own unique bond... those feelings, that carefully woven bound, prevented either of them from quarreling, and it evoked the worry that the other may be hurt. It wasn't bothersome to carry around such emotions, but it added a certain responsibility that the two had to care for. It was about... balance. For eachother to balance out their attributes and flaws. And perhaps they had nearly perfected such balance.*
Brother, are you alright? *Nefertari cradled Dante's head on her shoulder, squinting off in the distance at the lake. Her sharp eyes peered through the rain that spiraled from the heavens, Dante practically half-slung across her shoulder; her features narrowed as the figures of others come into view. The rabbitmaid turned her delicate face, twisting her neck so her head leant back, brushing against her brother's jaw.* Do you want to go down? Others are there. *She spat out the word 'others' with particular distaste; she wasn't the most social of creatures, but if it made her brother happy, she would put up with whoever they were.
Dante's eyes sparkled brightly; he knew perfectly well Nefertari most certainly would rather avoid the place, yet she had offered for his own benefit - which meant she was willing to spend whatever time with the others her short fuse allowed... that meant the world to him. He hoped he could feel his jaw shift into a smile, like he could hear her gentle heart pounding in her chest and back, and sending his beating in unison.* Just for a while, sister... a little while?
A little while. *Raising her own voice above the dull clatter of rain, ignoring the remnants of conversation she could hear from two creatures - what appeared to be a squirrel and a ferret - the maid shamelessly interrupts.* Who's there, eh? What'cha doin'?
*Dante was the polite, quiet twin, his traits different from the rash Nefertari; as such, he added softly, but loud enoughf or the others to hear.* I am Dante, and this is Nefertari - who may you two be?

*Regen glances over and smiles vaguely at Stoakly as the ferret sits down. He tosses his line out, watching the red cork bob in the ripples. * *The squirrel stiffens slightly at Stoakly's question, then forces himself to relax and turn to look at the ferret. *I don't trust 'im, Stoakly, an' that's the truth. *He glances up as an unknown beast calls from behind them. After a quick glance-over at the two rabbits, he calls back, *Regen Eale, an' this 'ere is Stoakly Centurio! We're....um, I'm fishin'!

F-fishing? *Nefertari's eyes glittered warily as her tongue stammered slightly as her lips formed the word, and noticing this, Dante took over from where his sister had halted; straightening his posture, he swiftly stepped beside Nefertari, his shoulders brushing hers as he softly leaned against her. Raising his vocals, he politely continued on, friendliness and cheer edged in the crevices of his voice.*
Nice to meet you, Eale and Centurio! *Dante did not use either of the creature's first; in fact, Nefertari did not either. They did not even address eachother with their own names, either... it seems they weren't close to anybeast - not even their own brother or sister - to call them their first names. The titles 'brother' and 'sister' would suffice, and perhaps they liked to show a bit of insolence by calling others by their last names; often, creatures did not like their last names. Perhaps that was one of the greater attractions of continuing their habit.* Have either of you caught any fish yet?

He then rushes back to the lake** 'Ere I am! Now let me fish! **He walk's to a shadey spot by the lake. He sits down, put's ome bait onto the rod, and lets the string go into the lake** Ahhh. Now I'll wait for a bite. In the meantime, I'll go 'an 'ave some target practice! **He pull's out his longbow, strings it, pull's out his quiver, and notches a arrow to his bow. Pulling bach the string, he fires the arrow toward a rock not that far from were he sat. It hit's the rock, and bounces off of it. He grins** I'm a pretty good shot with me bow. **He looks at the other creatures** So, what do ya think?
