*Regen frowns at the spring, then looks over at Lonas, who shrugs.* *I think it's a bucket, myself.. *He continues looking around, fingering a few coins in his pocket and wondering how much he's going to have to bribe Tuscaro if they're found.* Maybe I'll have to bribe Regen. Or both? There's an idea... *The squirrel grins slightly, the coins in his pocket beginning to jingle audibly as he shifts them around.* Just have to find the right currency, I suspect.

*Just as Ashnel is about to argue with this, Terragon nods.* Regen's right, y'know, thinking about it now. I mean, who's going to put parchment in the spring? It'll get soaked through. *Danniar looks around, trying to remember whether there were any buckets in the courtyard last time she was there...*

*Soilrose thinks.* Roight, yoo're roight, Oi berlieve.
OOC: It's just a bit of water shooting out of the ground into a pond, right? Not like the sculpture ones?

OOC: I thought it flowed into a stone pool or an aqueduct or something...one wouldn't want to keep a spring just flowing in their yard, the house would flood on a rainy day. Plus, it would always be wet.

OOC: Into a shallow stone basin, which leads into an aquaduct, (leaves often get trapped, meaning the whole thing overflows). Does somebeast want to find the bucket, or is Danni' going to?

*Soilrose walks up to the basin.* Et lukks loik a bucketer, doosn't it? Maybe et's between ee ground an' ee sideer... *She taps a digging claw in a circle around the basin, testing for small open spaces. As she taps one spot, her face lights up. Digging a hole very cautiously, she feels around for something in there. Finally, she withdraws her paw with a scrap of parchment in between two claws...*

Well, that's at least half a dozen times Soilrose has worked it out before the rest of us, *Ashnel declares. Terragon ignores him and wanders over to the finder of the clue, biting her lip impatiently.* You going t' read it, Soilrose? OOC: D'you want to make the riddle up, or should I?

OOC: Uh, I guess I will... sorry if it's crappy. BIC: *Soilrose grins bashfully.* Whull, soombeast hard ta doo et, soo Oi did et since Oi loik riddlers. Uh-hum, let's see... OOC: Thanks. ;D Try to cut out the swearing though, please.
BIC: "Where y've come fr'm?" *Danniar repeats, her face falling.* Tha''s no' the Tav'n, is i'? S'all right, *Ashnel announces.* If Tuscaro's there I'll -
Ash', *Terragon mutters through gritted teeth, staring at the parchment in Soilrose's paw still.* The Whispering Willow? And we're looking for a "store of..." *She grimaces.* What? *If it was "store of summer," then I'm sure there's a dozen wine bottles that could be storing summer. But "store of slummer?"* The new building's the apothecary, I'm sure. *Terragon tells them, still uncertain, but trying to divert their attention away from her confusion about the second line.*

OOC: Sorry. BIC: *Soilrose apoligizes.* Soory, moi moler-speech messed et oop. Oi'll let yoo ooll reed et. *She passes the slip of parchment to Terragon.* *Look where you've come from, near a store of slum. Here the last clue lies, waitin' for whoever finds. It'll lead you to a building new. * Oi'll let yoo ooll think on et for Oi tell wot Oi think et means.

*Terragon takes the parchment in one paw, rubbing the corner of her eye with the other. Ashnel wanderers closer as Terragon holds the parchment further away from her face and reads silently for a moment before reading it aloud.* Store, as in a container or a storage place, or store as in a shop? *Ashnel asks loudly, almost at once.* If it's a shop, then... *Terragon shruggs, wondering what it could refer to, besides the apothecary.* "A store of slum." Is this riddle-writer implying something about the apothecary, maybe? *Danniar tilts her head to one side, considering the clue in the squirrel's paw.*

*Soilrose immediatly deciphers the whole riddle.* We've coom frum ee Tavern, an a stoore ov slummer would be a boocket ov et, loik leftova greese oor ashes en pot wata. Ee larst clue shood be dere, an et should leed us to a new shoop, loik ee apothecary, or a new houser.

*Lonas studies the riddle over Terragon's shoulder.* Well, the Apothecary might make sense, 'cept it's not a new building. Th' store is new, but th' Apothecary itself 'as been around for a while...I think it was a storage building or somethin' for th' Tavern... Except th' back room. Me an' MacErlon built that after we bought th' building from Tuscaro, *Regen interrupts. Only after that does he look at the riddle and frown.* A store of slum? My shop ain't a slum...just 'cuz Lonas sells some...disreputable...stuff there... *Lonas, who is fortunately facing away from Ashnel, shakes his head warningly and mouths something. Regen shuts up.*

There's paintings in the Tavern, *Ashnel tells her, eyes narrowed at something.* Somebeast painted some of the buildings in Terralux and the clearings and things...? *He trails off with a shrugg, beginning to wish he'd had whiskey at the Tavern.* Let's go round to the Tavern again. *He suggests, loudly.*
